Consult the information below for any questions regarding assistance, warranty, or repair of Wavesensations products and the brands we represent. If you cannot find the information you are looking for, we will be happy to help. The information below applies only to the express warranties we have chosen to offer on certain products, as described below.
Our products also include warranties that cannot be excluded under consumer protection legislation. You are entitled to a replacement or refund in the event of a serious defect, as well as compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to repair or replacement of the product if it is not in acceptable condition, provided that the defect is not considered a serious defect.
Wetsuits - Warranty and Repair
Warranty Period
- Rip Curl: 3 years warranty for seams, 12 months for materials.
- O'Neill: 2 years warranty for seams and materials.
Warranty Conditions
The warranty exclusively covers defects in materials or workmanship. To activate the warranty, present the proof of purchase and ensure that the product is in suitable condition for shipping or delivery.
Conditions Not Covered by the Warranty
The warranty for Rip Curl and O'Neill surf facts does not apply in cases of:
- Absence of proof of purchase.
- Normal wear from use.
- Discoloration due to sun exposure.
- Damage caused by detergents, chemicals, or fabric softeners.
- Wetsuits or poorly used, including dry or cracked neoprene.
- Homemade repairs (e.g.: gluing with Aqua Seal, patches with adhesive tape, homemade stitches).
- Use in commercial programs, rentals, teaching, or instructional activities.
- Adjustment issues - any adjustment problem must be resolved before use.
Use the Warranty
To proceed with the evaluation or repair of your surf suit, choose one of the options:
- Physical Store: Bring the surf suit to our physical store Wavesensations, along with the proof of purchase.

Online Store: Send the item by mail to our physical store, including:
- Proof of purchase.
- Contact details (phone and email).
- Brief description of the problem.
- Photos of the damage (including a general view for location) and internal label near the closure.
"Upon receipt, your item will be assessed, and if covered by the warranty, it will be repaired, replaced, or refunded as necessary."
Care for the Surf Suit
To prolong the durability of your surf suit:
- Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and dry it in the shade.
- Rinse the wetsuit and the zipper with fresh water after each surf session.
- Don't let the fact dry directly on the hanger to protect the neoprene on the shoulders.
Rip Curl Watches - Warranty and Care
- Two years for the Movement: Includes the internal part of the watch that makes it work, but excludes the Crown (also called the Adjuster).
- Two years for Water Resistance: We recommend that the watch be sealed and tested every 2 years, as heat, salt, and other elements can affect water resistance over time.
- One year for the Battery: The battery replacement includes testing the watch functions and water resistance, with a new 6-month warranty on the battery and sealing.
Not covered by the Warranty
- Glass, Bracelet, Case, Dial/Hands, Crown/Stem.
- Damage caused by normal wear or accidental.
Rip Curl reserves the right to repair or replace any defective watch with an equivalent style. To ensure warranty coverage, keep the proof of purchase.
Usage Recommendations
- 100M / 330ft - Suitable for water sports such as surfing, snorkeling, swimming, and water skiing.
- 200M / 660ft - In addition to the above sports, suitable for diving to standard depths.
Rip Curl watches are tested with high-precision Swiss equipment and were specifically designed for Surf.
Care for the Watch
To keep your watch in great condition:
- Use it only for the recommended sports.
- Avoid operating the buttons underwater.
- 'After exposure to salt water, rinse it with fresh water and dry it with a soft cloth.'
- Avoid aggressive cleaning products and solvents.
- Avoid using leather straps in water, unless the watch has Surf Leather.
- "Never attempt to open the watch. Battery replacements should only be done by Rip Curl technicians."
- Avoid extreme temperatures and magnetic fields.
- If there is moisture inside the watch, consult a Rip Curl technician.
Swimwear
Wavesensations does not offer a warranty for swimwear. However, we recommend that you follow the instructions below to prolong the lifespan of your items:
Care for Swimwear
- Wash by hand separately in cold water with mild detergent.
- "Dry in the shade without twisting or leaving it tangled while wet."
- Do not use bleach, dryer, iron, or dry cleaning.
- Avoid contact with chlorinated water, as it damages the piece. Wash well after each use.
- Tanning products and some sunscreens can damage swimwear; make sure they are dry before contact with the fabric.
- To remove sand, gently run your nail over the dry fabric.
- Avoid rough surfaces to prevent fabric wear.
Neoprene Bathing Suit
- "Do not use the neoprene bikini in chlorinated pools."
- Keep it flat to avoid creases.
Backpacks, Wallets and Travel Accessories
1 year warranty from the date of purchase.
Bags, wallets, and travel accessories purchased from Wavesensations are covered by a 1-year warranty for manufacturing defects and materials, provided they are used under normal conditions and for their intended purpose. The warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, improper use, or negligence. Keep the proof of purchase to activate the warranty.
Sunglasses
1 year warranty from the date of purchase.
The warranty for the sunglasses covers manufacturing defects, but is voided if the glasses are handled or repaired by third parties. The warranty does not cover scratched lenses, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, loss, or theft.
Footwear
3 months warranty from the date of purchase.
The footwear purchased at Wavesensations is covered by a 3-month warranty, valid upon presentation of the proof of purchase and depending on the condition of the product. The warranty only covers manufacturing defects.
Clothing
3 months warranty from the date of purchase.
The clothing items are covered by a 3-month warranty, provided that the proof of purchase is presented and they are in suitable condition. The warranty applies only to manufacturing and material defects.
Conditions Not Covered by Warranty for All Products
For all products sold by Wavesensations, the warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear from use.
- Accidental damage.
- Unauthorized manipulation, repairs, or modifications.
- Absence of proof of purchase.
Please keep the purchase receipt to ensure warranty coverage and extend the life of the products by following the recommended care.
