The inhabitants of the Isles of Lewis, Harris, Uist and Barra produce this luxurious fabric entirely by hand and have long been renowned for their excellent weaving. Over the decades, Harris Tweed has been adopted by everyone from royalty and landed gentry to Hollywood icons and the world’s top designers. In the early 1990s, the industry began to transform and modernise, producing a new double-width loom, retraining weavers, introducing new, more stringent quality standards and marketing a new wider, softer and lighter tweed. Roark offers a jacket, cap, wallet and flask with an authenticity label.
